Hey folks,

Apologies if this is the wrong spot for this:

Short+Sweet is a fast-growing, international festival of 10 minute plays. It started 10 years ago and has spread from Sydney to Singapore, Malaysia, India, New Zealand, and all around Australia, with festivals in the UK, US and South Africa on the cards for the not-too-distant future.

Recently, I've been appointed as their first ever Literary Manager, being responsible for both attracting entries and getting scripts assessed. We might get 2000 entries in a year and every script needs to be assessed a minimum of 3-5 times.

So here I am asking if any of you good people would like to become Script Assessors. It's a great way of improving your critical evaluation and editing skills and it will look good on any writer's CV. Short+Sweet is the largest short play festival in the world and it's only growing.

The following link has more info, and will take you to a webform you can complete if you'd like to apply: http://www.shortandsweet.org/shortsw...cript-assessor

We do have requirements (QC, you know). Applicants must be writers (that's you!), theatre professionals, teachers, or comms people. Unfortunately for the kids, we're legally unable to use anyone under the age of 18.

I'm happy to answer any and all questions about this. I'll watch the thread so just hit reply.

We have no budget to pay anyone, sadly, so you have to do it for the love/experience/CV fodder. If that's a problem for you, please post your outraged comments about how evil and exploitative this is and make comments like, "Why would anyone do this for free, man?" below.

Cheers,
Pete
