    Poem needed!

Hi, I am looking for someone to write me a poem based on the loss of innocence.

I am currently producing a film and need a poem to be read as a voice over as the visuals are shown.

The film uses metaphor and imagery to create a stunning visual adventure showing pure and clean things in dirty and controversial surroundings.

If you are interested in writing for me, please can you send an email to cyifilms@googlemail.com

    Thank you

    Charlotte Smith

PLEASE NOTE: As the film will be shown in film festivals and online, I would need permission to use it. You would be fully credited and receive a copy of the film.

What length of poem are you thinking? It would be helpful to know if it's an insert or something that will need to match the movie length, assuming it to be a "short".

Sorry for being vague, its a short film, around 3/4 minutes long so when read aloud the poem should be around that length.

    Good luck!
Will you ever write a story for which no character will have cause to reproach you? (Stephen R. Donaldson: "The Creator" to Thomas Covenant)

It's an interesting idea, but will probably be difficult for many people. All of my writing that I call poetry (There is considerable disagreement about that.) is image driven (except for the Limericks, and they don't count.) I have little imagination, and my writing, prose and (alleged) poetry arises from what I have actually witnessed. But there are clever and imaginative poets here, Baron among them, who can no doubt help.

But even they, I suspect, will need more than a general description and rough estimate of length.

Is there a need for it to be poetry? Could not a prose narration written and edited to exactly fit the scenes in the video, work as well?
