Hi everyone. Just joined up at Writing Forums, and wanted to let you know about our short fiction project, gearing up for launch at the beginning of September.

Spectra Magazine is a monthly digital-only science fiction, fantasy and horror short fiction publication, available from a range of popular eBook stores, including the Apple App Store, WH Smiths, Amazon, Kobo, OmniLit and the Android Marketplace.

Submissions for paid short fiction between 3,000 and 12,000 words, in any of (or any combination of) the sci-fi, horror and fantasy genres, are being accepted from now until August 13th.

Spectra Magazine offers its contributors a 1.5% revenue share of the six month publishing run per story. This means you don’t just get 1.5% of the revenue (that’s revenue, not profit – you get a cut straight off the top) from the issue your story is featured in; you get 1.5% of the revenue from all six issues released in the current publishing run.

Multiple submissions are welcome but please don’t send simultaneous submissions. Unpublished writers are also welcome. Please check the guidelines before submitting, and we use an electronic submissions system found on the main site.
