    Olympics: The qwerty solution.

The problem with the Olympics is that very often the viewer doesn't have an interest in the event because their country is not represented.

The qwerty solution: Da-da! 'TheZodiacOlympics'. Four teams representing three signs of the zodiac. At the end of each Olympics the teams are reassigned so that a balance is maintained.

Result, every Inuit will have a runner in the 100 metre final and all Maltesers will have a pole vaulter to cheer on.

And - at last each and every Australian will win something other than synchronised whingeing (bless).

First, have you recently lost your specs?

Second, your post would be sooo much better had you gone to the trouble of composing something that made even a little sense…

Oho, I see your game. You just wanted to lead in to the whingeing Aussies, dinchoo?

We learnt that from you lot, you know. “Whingeing Poms” are the biggest blight on the Australian landscape. “We do it differently, back home.”

I've watched the entire Olympics. How many times have Ireland taken to the stage?

I suppose this is a Maltese pole vaulter:

Sam, why don't you lobby for the inclusion of Irish Road Bowling and Camogie next time?

Four teams representing three signs of the zodiac.
Four into three won't go. And what happens to the other nine? Sometimes I wonder about you.

Twelve zodiac signs, four times three each.

But why not twelve teams according to when the athletes were born? I suppose we might discover that all Capricorns are rubbish at everything, but it seems unlikely. With the medals shared among twelve rather than the hundred or so countries each team should still win something, and people from different countries co-operating in a team, great idea.

I think it is a great idea, I hate all this nationalism, seeing people draping themselves in flags, another idea, we could make it for amateurs, that might help the friendly spirit, oh, and ban people that start making unfounded accusations rather than celebrating the success of remarkable athletes.

I think all conflict should be settled by sports.

Yeah, 'parently multiplication is too difficult for OX.

But why not twelve teams according to when the athletes were born?
I thought , as there are normally eight lanes on a running/swimming track, two competitors from each group. (OX reaches for calculator)

You mix them up after each games. The weakest 'sign' is regrouped with two of the stronger ones, like the college draft system in USA.

...and people from different countries co-operating in a team, great idea.
I suppose there has to be a financial impetus. By that I mean direct sponsorship. Say Coca-cola sponsor a Zodiac team and there is
some kid in a ghetto in Djakata who has a talent for high jumping. Coca cola will find him and give him the facilities that he would never be offered in the current Olympics.

Right, here's the nooculus of the next Olympic committee:

Querty (dog congress - the verb, not the noun)
    O.Buckle, Esq. (spatial discrimination)
    Patrick (bike racing)
    Kyle (sleight-of-hand)
    Gumby] (anything muddled)
    Eluixa ]
Any Orstralyan (thong-throwing - that's flip-flops in the Northern Hemisphere)

You need to correct your spelling, it's "Strylian".

I remember when that was the case for the Olympics ... it was sometime before sailing, beach volleyball and lawn bowls became Olympic events ...

In some regions, it's Straylyin, unless you're referring to the language, in which case, it's just Strine ...
