    Buongiorno, amici.

It's been a while since I've been on here, so I thought I might pop in to share what's going on and to drop a few critiques.

To make a long story short, I've been working as a journalist for the past two years. Considering pretty much all my experience was in creative writing, it's been a bit of a culture shock. Even as I speak, I'm on assignment... at 3:56 AM... which sucks about as hard as you can imagine.

Anyway, I sort of miss you guys sometimes, and every time my editor lays into me about a stylistic choice I have to bite my tongue, smile, and keep from responding in characteristic derision at the cheek of such a philistine. Also, I often wonder if Hodge's ear itches each time one of my articles lands near the funnies. It's hard to forget about a website that nurtured your arrogant writer's dreams since the tender age of 15.

A lot has probably changed in the past couple of years; but I hope everything is well.

Live long and write a lot,

    Shawn

I think I remember you. (Kidding.)

It's great to see you again! Glad things are going well for you. So, a journalist, eh? Excellent!

Odd. I feel like yelling, "Look, ma, our boy has come home!"

Don't think I remember you, so hi! And I'm in college for Journalism as well.

Thanks for the welcome, guys. Why, isn't this slick? I remember when this forum was held together with nothing but HTML and a few scripts.

Not much... here I have the urge to say "broseph," but I'm not that much of a douche.

Anyway, I'm doing alright. I'm going to be joining the ranks of the designing undead soon to augment my income. Screen-printing and such. The sad thing is, my probationary wage is $15 an hour, so I'm probably going to stop working for the newspaper as soon as my probationary period is up. I might even be able to catch up on my student loans.

In any case, I've been very lucky with this economy.

How're you, Joseph? In fact, how is everyone?
