I guess for me it was always the goodwill but if the mince pies are good and if Nacian will eat them then I guess it's the pies.

OMG that is so weak... LOL

Hope you had a fab Christmas Nacian.

I was unaware that Christmas had any redeeming qualities once you stop believing in Santa Claus...

There was a mission called "The Volunteers of America" located a block from our tenement. The mission would house and employ former alcoholics as long as the men remained sober. Every year, right after the Thanksgiving Day Holiday, the men would be required to don Santa Claus outfits and stand outside busy department stores ringing bells while seeking donations from the shoppers.

Day after day, the kids who lived near the mission watched as fifty men dressed as Santa streamed from the building and headed toward the subway a block away to take the train to their destinations uptown where most of the department stores were located. It was a very confusing scene for the children. One might say that some of the kids where I lived grew up believing not one Santa but many. Santa Clones is coming to town.
