    Not another sunny day!

You people in England probably think the image portrayed by Neighbours is just wonderful.

I’m here to tell you that English weather has a lot going for it. I staggered out at 6.30 for the second morning running, to be greeted by a blazing sun.

One good thing is we are four days past the longest day. The sun’s arc will slowly begin moving North and I won’t need to wear sunglasses inside quite so much. Just kidding, but we do need to keep some of the blinds and curtains closed until early afternoon.

    Phooey.

We have had a beautiful sunny day here also. Rain and snow forecasted for tonight. One thing about this state (Arkansas) you never know what the weather will be.

In Melbourne it was sweaty and hot in the early part of the day (yesterday - for Christmas) and then the sky ripped open, big rolling thunder, lightning, hailstones.
Apparently they almost released a tornado warning but then it diffused itself (the tornado, not the warning). Or something.
I was watching The Muppet's Christmas Carol, eating cheese and drinking wine. So I wasn't totally listening.

Totally agree. Sunny weather gets a bit much after a while (or months). I really love it when its cloudy, you can go and enjoy the outdoors; much better than feeling too hot, sweaty & bothered to do anything. Even rain doesn't bother me too much, just don a hat and coat and off you go.
Although you can keep your snow Gumby.

Why'd I think you lived in California? D'you have a double here at WF or something? Maybe it's just my tired old mind again.

Our Christmas was the third warmest since 1886. There's only a little snow on the north side of things, otherwise just brown grass and bare trees. Love it or hate it, we're supposed to have a good three feet of snow and temps below freezing. I can only imagine Mother Nature will take her revenge over the next couple of months...

Three months ago I moved from California to Arkansas. The folks are getting on in years and they live here. I feel like I need to be around for them and I want to have some time with them before it's too late.

I have only seen the sun like once in two weeks. It's rather depressing. Plus, there's no snow and I live in Wisconsin...

I live in Wilthire, Just north of Thomerthet.

It is dark, wet, cold, and windy, a bit like the the inside of my underwear.
I love double glazing, central heating and duvets.

In a few months time it will be summer and I will love ice-cream, scantily clad young ladies and walking in the countryside.

There is always something to moan about, I count myself blessed. I wouldn't mind visiting all these far-flung, exotic places. But here I live.
