Yes, you read the title right. And this is a question that was posed at another forum, so I am posing it here: Would you like a video game themed wedding? I think if you do not have a video game themed wedding, your attire shouldn't suffer entirely.

I would never want a vidoe game themed wedding! I can't even picture what it would look like, but I'm sure it would be something I wouldn't be interested in at all. And, If my fiancee wanted to do that... well, he'd have to find someone else to marry is all! Lol
“And now I’m looking at you,” he said, “and you’re asking me if I still want you, as if I could stop loving you. As if I would want to give up the thing that makes me stronger than anything else ever has. I never dared give much of myself to anyone before – bits of myself to the Lightwoods, to Isabelle and Alec, but it took years to do it – but, Clary, since the first time I saw you, I have belonged to you completely. I still do. If you want me.” ― City of Glass by Cassandra Clare.
As long as it isn't Grand Theft Auto...It'd be a shame to have somebody beating a prostitute to death in the background of all the photographs.
Insert profundity here.

I'd prefer a Star Wars and/or Star Trek themed wedding, but a video game wedding wouldn't be bad so long as I'm not expected to look like Kratos, or the Diablo II barbarian, and my fiancee doesn't dress like Lara Croft, an asari dancer as seen in the bars of Mass Effect, or the amazon.
Video games are my passion, but I don't see how it would work. I think weddings in general are unnecessary, but if I were to arrange a themed one, it'd be inspired by Beetlejuice. I'd have one of those old horns in my trousers and everythin' -- nice blanking wedding *honk honk*. Maybe not. . . .
A Zelda-themed wedding could be good, though.
Edit: Ooh, no, wait! I'd have a Nightmare Before Christmas wedding.
Mmm, romantic and delicious.

Well Sunny, it all depends on the video game. If you fiancee wanted say Saints Row, I can see where it might not be your cup of tea. But there are games that you might not object to, like Super Mario Bros. or Batman. Now I am not saying that a traditional wedding isn't any fun, but I think having a costumed wedding might be more memorable than a white dress and a tuxedo. that is my opinion.Originally Posted by Sunny
Hey!
I guess I'm more of the romance type of girl. No theme's for me. Just me and my fiancee on a moonlit beach. Hundreds of candles lining the shore, and rose pedals spread all around us. We're the only two, except for the person marrying us of course. We'd be in barefeet, and I'd wear a simple and elegant antique styled dress in lace...and well my fiancee could wear white linen shorts if he wanted. Lol. But hey.. that's just me. ;0)

So am I: a romantic! But I also think that something different like costumes or an unform might be a little more memorable than what I mentioned before.Originally Posted by Sunny
Yes, I guess for some people themes work. Some are nice. I saw a themed wedding on TV once. The girl was dressed up as a fairy princess, and she looked amazing. Her husband was obviously dressed as a fairy king. All of the guests were dressed similar. The cake was amazing... it was all amazing. So magical looking. Organza hung from the trees with white christmas lights streaming through it all. I'm just not a theme person myself.![]()

I think we all are theme people. Just not like some who go to extremes with the decor and such. I am thinking more of song inspired parties, such as weddings and birthdays. These can be very simple in design or very complex, depending on song.
I suppose you're right... depending on the individuals as well.![]()

You know, I look at all of those 1970's 'themed' weddings they had back then, and I think how embarrassing. The photos are something you want to hide in the bottom cupboard, and hope your children or grandchildren don't see them until after you pass away; because you'd have trouble looking them in the eye if they ever did. The 'themed' wadding photos are so bad, it might even be less embarrassing to be caught in a 'adult shop' by your kids.
What I wonder is whether those doing these 'video game' weddings might be storing the evidence out of sight in their bottom drawer in a few years time.

I'd kill for a blueberry scroll, or maim for a apple one. Alas...
While I can't see myself in full-blown Link and Mario themed tuxedos... I wouldn't mind getting re-married over WOW or some other MMORPG with a virtual reception...
