This is the trailer for my novel Dereliction of Duty. A huge thanks (and credit) goes to Moderan for doing the music.
This is my first ever video, so my skills are somewhat lacking.

Great try, though, Sam! Is there a way you can turn the music down a little compared to the voiceover? Maybe it's just my speakers but I can't make out most of what is being said.

I second all of what Foxee said, including the suggestion. Good show, and I certainly would not be able to better. It's not the most professionally looking produced video I've seen on youtube, but we improve upon what we know, right? We have to start somewhere.
Good job, Sam.
Mmm. Yeah, the voiceover is a little subdued. I can fix that and send Sam a new soundtrack.
Great job for a first video.

Thanks, all.
I tried tinkering with the sound, but since Mod layered the backing track and music as one piece of audio, I could only adjust the master volume and not that of the voiceover or music.
Mod, you've already done more than enough, but if you could tinker with the sound a little that would be greatly appreciated.
Your video application probably includes a relatively simple way to add transitions between images. A simple cross-fade would be best, nothing too fancy. If you're using Windows Movie Maker, I'm pretty sure you can just drag and drop the transition you want to use between images or clips on the timeline. It just makes things flow better than when you use a hard cut from one image to the next.

Thanks, Joe. Yeah, I'm using Windows Movie Maker. I'll have to have a look at the fade-in option.
I'll add another layer of voiceover to the backtrack and send you the files for the backtrack and the voice. I had meant to do that in the first place but got sidetracked. This evening probably-it'll take 20 minutes or so of dedicated activity and I'll have uninterrupted time later.
