or your real name when/if you write a book. If you use your real name just say yes if you don't want to post it.
Obviously I use a pseudonym as it is also my username S.M. grimbldoo

I've never wrote a published book but I might use a pseudonyme if I did. I use my real name for published articles etc...
Live at the Witch trials...
I will definately be using one, not my real name. If I ever get published (not likely to happen though).![]()
For bylines in slick mags I have an upmarket pseudonym and for ordinary newswire use I have a blue collar name. For hispanic publications I use a hispanic pseudonym which is becoming more and more accepted as my 'real' name even by people who know better. A few people here have put together all the bits and pieces of autobioraphy I've posted over the years and have figured out my real name. When I write as a ghost, of course, I have no name on the book but I do have one on the cheque, and that's the one that counts.
I have thought of using a pseudonym for just my surname, as it has a load of consonants chucked in together and makes it awkward to say. I'm sure there's a linguistic term for it but I can't remember what it is now. Maybe a glottal stop.

Did you just shush me? - Amy Pond
Never published anything but if I did I probably would use Elle Blake or Belle since my real name is too complicated to pronounce in any language that's not Spanish (Amaya Susaeta)
No I would not.
I would propably publish without a name.
If necessary the author's name will only be acquired on request.
It,s nice to think i might have to choose one (and yes i would have one) but it's unlikely that i'll ever be published.

Sometimes all our thoughts are misgiven.
I've used a lot of pseudonyms (for my writing). My real-life name is eleven letters, but it's been misspelled or otherwise mangled so many times that I didn't use it for a long time. That also allowed me to sell more than one story to the same editor a couple of times. I still use my main pseudos so I shan't say the names.
"moderan" is a pseudonym too. That name has a life of its own-originally the name of a planet written of by David Bunch, who published a volume of stories set there (in 1971), it's become the name a lot of my things are associated with, though I try to change that from time to time. My band name is moderan, my website is Planet Moderan, my forum handle is (usually) moderan--by now you get the picture.

You could get one up on Prince. Imagine becoming the artist formerly known as "?".
You could also lay claim to all that work out there by the notorious "Anon".
Who is "Anon"?

And why not? Anyhting is possible.![]()
If you publish anonymously, you can then lay claim to all of the other anonymously-published books. See if you can get them to cut you a check.
