Where have you been on holiday/vacation that you loved most? Perhaps you are lucky enough to live in a place you recommend taking a holiday.

I went to Egypt few years ago and it was just amasing!
If you like sun beach and warm weather then that is the place to go.
An absolute beauty.
I do one day want to do a Nile Cruise and see all the sites, i have been to sharm el shiek and that was really nice but i,d love to see the pyramids and the valley of the kings, only thing is that i believe that you do get alot of hassle from beggars and the police wanting tips all the time which puts me off alittle. My brother went and told me he was pestered to death by the locals which it spoilt the visit.

Really??
It is quite a shock for when we left one hotel to go to another one and drove pass the little towns, they were just like shanty towns.
I was utterly shocked to see so much poverty. I did not realise it was that seriously bad.
I love Italy. The variety is amazing, everything from the alps to beautiful seaside towns. So much history, awesome scenery, wonderful food. My sister lives in Milan, and she’s a fantastic tour guide – she and her husband know a lot of very cool non-touristy places – especially restaurants and hotels off the beaten path. Nice to have translators too. Florence and Venice are favorites. We still haven’t been to Rome, so that would be a must for next time. I know the idea is to expand your horizons, but we’ll probably go back again when we have a chance to go on an extended vacation.

If you go to rome and enjoy history, a good place to visit is Ostia Antica, it's not well known and quite easy to get too. You can get a train out to the ostia antica station and it is like a 4-5 minute walk. there are no tour guides though you can buy a map/tour guide book.
There isn't that many people there and you can stroll about at your leisure. It was a merchant town that was just abandoned over time. Of herculanium/pompeii it is my favourite overall. There is even a still standing bar with the shelves behind it. It's insane! Also, the Ara Pacis is worth a visit too. There's loads to do in rome, love the place!
Sweden is pretty awesome too, though I found the second time I was there it was kinda boring (mainly because I was doing everything I had already seen/done with my sister, with my parents) though there is a zoo there where you can go into the lemur cage and walk around with them. though you're not supposed to touch/feed them, being that close is actually pretty cool.
Thanks chaps, I had never herd of Boracay untill today and now i'v looked it up i know where it is and it sounds fabulous. Italy i know about having been there and my wife is of Italian decent. Although there is still alot more i have not seen yet. Sweden i,v never visited but who knows maybe one day ? Thanks again and any more comments are more than welcome![]()

Italy is amazing with the historical ruins left unattended and seeming to just rise from the soil with little regard for the age and historical significance to the area residents. Krakow, Poland was a great surprise with many historical treasures and architecture that left you gaping upwards. I also love a nice cruise for complete relaxation to anywhere or nowhere in particular.
Chicago. No, seriously, great great place to go.

Hawke's View![]()
There is this area in North Carolina. I forget what the campground is called, but it's very near to Mt. Aerie, where the Andy Griffith Show's setting was heavily based on, and partly filmed at. There's also Lake Canosauga (I'm not sure about the spelling) in northern Georgia, probably my most favorite camping spot in the world, along side the North Carolina spot. Outside of camping grounds in the South, I'm lost.
It depends on what you're in to. I've only ever traveled within the western half of the U.S., so my recomendation within that would be Disneyland in California. I went with my family a few years ago, and we had a fantastic time. I'd really love to go to France, Egypt, and Japan at some point, but I haven't been able to yet.
Now why wouldn't be we be interested Offeiriad? Come on and tell us i,d like to know
Colden: Yes i agree about Italy it's beautiful and rich in culture.
KingTheMad: Yes i would love to go to Chicago, i,d love to pick up a car and drive the 2500 miles down route 66 to LA.
Hawke: Do go to Scotland it,s the place i,d recommend to go, Fort william in the shadow of Ben nevis is stunning and the drive down Glen coe is just jaw dropping. However if you really want some stunning views drive from Fort william to alittle place called Mallaige on the coast, it,s the best 25 miles drive you will ever travel the views are to die for just gorgeous. The Harry Potter movie back drops and train scenes in the country side were mostly filmed in this area so yes go and enjoy.
Beanlord56 : I,v never been to North Carolina but i,d love to go there someday, sounds beautiful.
Jose: I would advice Paris if you want to go France it,s just fabulous but also very very exspensive !!
thanks all![]()
