Any Hemingway fans . . . recently did a video for his "Letters Project"

Hello . . . I'm a video guy trying to do some writing on the side . . . and for my day job (which is pretty cool) I got a chance to do a video for the Patrick Hemingway "Letters Project" . . . and I got the chance to meet and interview his last surviving son . . . it was amazing to sit and talk with someone who told stories about "dad" . . . and his dad just happens to be one of the best American writers ever . . .

It was fun opportunity, and posting it to share a very cool experience . . . and not as an advertisement, not looking to break or abuse any rules of the forum, just something cool I worked on and was exited to share!!!

Great stuff - I may prefer his letters to his books! Though I do like his short stories.

I'm embarrassed to say that I ready my first of his books this year . . . crammed 2 in before doing the interview with his son. Really loved THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA . . . and given the life he lived, what I was able to read of the letters (while filming them) were pretty cool . . . you know, reading someone else's mail . . . and that someone being rather famous!

    Thanks for taking a look!

Sorry, can't see the video. No Flash Player.

Hemingway was the assigned antidote in high school when I suffered an overdose of Faulkner.

My opinion also. There's something. . . depressing about Hemmingway, especially his novels, but I've had a blast with his shorts.
Let's see if my above post is deleted without explanation. Wouldn't be the first time.
