In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird that sings.
Sometimes all our thoughts are misgiven.
I'll have a radio instead
I will write my own books
I will grow my own food
I will take my camera.

Hmm I would probably take 3 beatles albums, 2 coldplay albums (yes I like that stuff, dont shoot me), 1 Bond album (the girls that do classic rock), 1 album with James Bond soundtrack and 1 album by Yoko Kanno (Japanese stuff)
2 Five Books
The Hobbit, LotR (as one book),... damn it would take hours to decide on the other ones with my bookshelves (yes I have about 8 meters of books plus ten times more in ebooks) as full as they are.
3 One favorite meal
lasagna (the real deal with spinach, corn, beans and everything else that has to be in it!)
4 One item thats personal to you
My tablet PC that holds all my works and also the ebooks so I can cheat around the limitation of books to take along <33

Wow, I am pretty screwed on this desert island, eh? A few CDs with no CD player, five books and a meal. I wouldn't last an hour. . . .
CDs: Origin of Symmetry; Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness; Lateralus; Blood Mountain; Kingdom Hearts OST; and The Ricky Gervais Show Seasons 1 - 3.
Books: Stephen King's IT; The Narnia Collection (major escapism); a couple of Lovecraft omnibuses; and maybe one of King's collections of short stories . . . Everything's Eventual, methinks.
Meal: Spaghetti Bolognese.
Personal Item: I think I'd bring my -- ah, forget it. I'd just drown myself in the ocean anyway.

Personal: My favourite box of distress flares.
The sand of the desert is sodden red, -
Red with the wreck of a square that broke; -
The Gatling's jammed and the colonel dead,
And the regiment blind with dust and smoke.
The river of death has brimmed his banks,
And England's far, and Honour a name,
But the voice of schoolboy rallies the ranks,
"Play up! play up! and play the game!"

My wife is the only personal item that matters...
