Granted. Now that time doesn't slip away, you are able to grasp it firmly, clinging to moments in time you don't wish to lose. But as you cling to more moments of time, reliving them at your leisure, time begins to stick and bunch together. You begin to lose your place in the flow of time, bouncing from one moment to another with no control of which point you stick to, until you eventually descend into jibbering madness, watching time flow backwards as you slowly die in a mental institution.
I wish I could read minds...

Granted. But you read the minds 6f many people who want to kill you. Eventually you become so paranoid you move to a small cottage in a desert where no one can find you, with cork on every sharp edge and all blended food so you don't get choked. While you live in the middle of nowhere, you have no minds to read, so you end up reading deep into your own, finding out that you die in moments time by falling on an unconcealed sharp edge. You go mental in your cottage, tearing it apart in anger. You fall on a table edge (which once had a cork on it) making you lose conscious, then slip into a coma, then die.
I wish I had telekinesis.

Granted. Your ability to moves things with your mind develops at an amazing rate. You begin with pencils and rocks, and soon you're able to move people and cars. One day while practicing your abilities, you accidentally shift the axis of the Earth and alter its orbit. The earth begins to die as it slowly spirals toward mars. The temperatue drops, and all vegetation wilts and dies. Man is driven underground and must resort to mass cannabalism to survive. You have turned the earth into world of cannabalistic mole-people.
I wish i could turn invisible

Granted, but due to the ambiguity of your wish, you actually end up being upon a star, which of course renders you to instant ash.
I wish I were never born

Granted, now you are completely ingored, because everyone knows blondes have more fun. You become depressed, so you try to dye your hair back to blonde. Due to your wish, it becomes blacker and blacker until eventually it all falls out and you cause a severe chemical burn on your head, making you look like a disturbing female Freddy Krueger. You subsequently leap from a tall building, smashing into the ground and spattering passersby with brain matter.
I wish I could grant people's wishes...

Granted. You can grant wishes. You become so popular that you get your own TV show. People come across the world to get their wishes granted. Unfortunately all of the wishes you grant go corrupt some how. All those people you've "blessed" form an angry mob. They chase you to the roof of the TV studio. To escape you wish for a jet. Sadly it falls on top of you and you die.
I wish I had a time machine and I could kill Al Gore at birth.

granted, unfortunately directly after the act, you are propelled to the time of your conception and unwittingly disturb your parents making love in the marital bed, this of course means your mother does not fall pregnant, leaving you unborn: kind of a tricksy situation to be in ...
i wish chocolate didn't taste so good and exercising came easily - like no effort involved

Granted. Chocolate now tastes like dirt and exercise is easy... too easy.... You work out so hard you bust an artery and die. (knew someone who did this)
I wish I was an astronaut.

(good lord, poor thing, somehow i don't think that will ever happen to me *coughs*)
your wish has been granted. now you fly through space resembling a shooting star, the energy required to keep this up fizzles, and you burn out, leaving you bereft ... and wishing you never made that wish in the first place
i wish teenagers would clean their rooms more often, or at least say they will
