Choose your own adventure

Hi everyone, I decided to try to create a choose your own adventure story for the heck of it. i used to love them as a kid, so I wanted to take a shot at it. And guess what Boys and girls. You guys get to choose (no really?)

So without further ado: here ya go

Three wishes
By Sparkscout

You awake in what appears to be a small bedroom, aside from the lack of furnishing and decorations. How you got there and where you were is a mystery, and you are puzzled as you look around the room, checking to see if anything can give you any sort of clue. Nothing is helpful though, there is only a light bulb glowing on the ceiling and the bed you are lying on. As you come to a stand, you notice that there is a closed door to your right. Cautiously, you open it.

The room you stand in now is spacious and lit up by green flashing television monitors attached to large metallic cylinders. You inspect the closest one, and all you can figure out is that a the television is displaying tons of numeric and alphabetic combinations. The screens on all televisions suddenly turn to shades of blue. A few minutes later, you see the green screens pop up once more. This time, you can make sense of what it is displaying.

“Good morning subject 14, the time is currently 5:45 am on the 21st of July. We see that you have recovered from your exhaustion due to unforeseen experimental consequences. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you, and will make it up to you as soon as we can. We also regret to inform you that you may have lost a significant amount of memory due to experimental consequences. Please move to the nearest mental synchronization staff. It is to your right.”
A large glowing orb sits precariously on a small metal pole to your right. You obediently, but cautiously move towards it. A flash of light blinds you for a few seconds, and you see a small floating device in front of you. The monitor has also changed.

“Mental synchronization poles are used to help you gain knowledge about certain aspects and/or functions of the miscellaneous tools that are spread throughout this laboratory. Please note personal memories that are not relevant to your experimentation here are not reconstructed.”

Even though you try hard to remember anything that had happened before you woke up, you only come up with a small headache. What you now understand is that these mental synchronization poles work by delivering information to authorized brains. You also understand now that that small floating object is called a WISH. These devices look like moons, curved to a crescent like shape. There are three red orbs embedded in a tidy row on the front of it, which you can identify as neural transmitters. They follow persons around named GENIES and aid them with whatever task presented to them. You realize that your are a GENIE and you can send this wish wherever you would like. All you need to do is think it You think about it moving to the left, and in five seconds, it floats to the left.

This specific WISH is known as the WISHKNWLDG. It can unlock doors for you and can also access data in certain terminals throughout the facility. Whatever this facility is.

A brief buzzing is heard and the monitors change yet again. “Now that you understand how to work these tools, you may go out into the rest of this experimental facility. Please keep in mind that there are certain obstacles that can potentially kill you, including and not limited to a specialized military team that’s primary mission is to destroy everything in this facility. We here at Folklore Inc would be greatly appreciated by the protection of this facility at all costs. They have not yet arrived, but ETA is around one hour and two minutes. A firearm is presented to you outside of this room in case of confrontation with these soldiers.”
-Folklore Incorporated
A door lights up at the other end of the room, and you and your WISH move towards it. You find out that it is locked when you try and push it open. You almost groan, but then you remember that your WISH can help. With a few clicks, the door is unlocked and the WISH makes a small beeping sound.
You are greeted by a sterile looking hallway, one that almost looks like it is from a hospital. On the ground a small hand gun and a box of ammunition. You pick it up and load it, wondering at the same time how you knew how to do that. The mental pole did not tell you anything about firearms.
You proceed down the hallway and enter into a large room with several doors and more strange monitors. You look around and consider the possible routes.

A)Check that room that has a strange glow emitting from it.
B)Check the room with the flickering light.
C)Is that a door behind that monitor?
