What falls, but never breaks, and what breaks, but never falls?

...Or are you just happy to see me?
You are a long-distance traveller. Suddenly you come to a fork in the road and a man is standing there. He asks you for the time. You look up into the heavens and try to aproximate the angle of the sun. You squint. You place your left hand above your brow. Finally, the man says, forget it, I know what time it is!
How does he know?

he knows because your left wrist is your watch wrist and so you have shown the man the time.
When a man is blinded, does he lose some of his potential for greater wisdom or enhance it?

After the death of the king’s minister, the king was puzzled “who can fit in his place?”, so he summoned the wisest three men his kingdom ever known to his chamber, and asked them "it's hard to pick a minister from you..wise men.
thus I shall challenge you to a riddle, the winner becomes my minister".
and so, the king lined them behind each other in an order that,
the first one couldn’t see anyone.
the second one could only see the one in front of him.
and the last one could see them both.
the king came up to them carrying in his hands, five hats - 2 black and 3 white. he placed the hats randomly on each one making sure that none of them saw the color of their own hats and what the remained ones.
he then says "the one who speaks the color of the hat on his head shall be my minister!"
of course they are not allowed to see their own hats
at the end, the first one comes to be the king's minister!!
how and what was the color of his hat?

So man A is looking at Boy A's photo. The man describes the boy as being.
Explain to me how Boy A that is in the photo is the Man's Father. To me it seems that the boy is the mans brothers son(I don't know the term for this sorry, grandson maybe).

Complete guess, but the two behind him guess white and got it wrong, since there are only 2 black hats, the third man could only be wearing a white hat.
Here is a lateral thought riddle, since I find them more interesting that pure riddles.
A man will everyday take the elevator to the bottom floor of his apartment complex(10 stories high). When he returns, he only goes to the fifth floor and then walks the rest of the way, unless it is raining, then he takes the elevator all the way to the top. How is this possible?

he's a midget. he cannot reach the button unless he has an umberella.
A man kills his brother in plain sight of many people, and yet he will never be charged with murder or any other crime. Why not?

I can think of many answers.
a) The man's brother is dying of a terminal illness, so as a doctor he kills him(euthanasia).
b) Car accident, they both die.
c) The many people who were witnesses were all part of some scheme where killing the brother benefits them or is kept secret by them.
d) The brother kills everyone else as well, game over.
e) It was an act/play so he "killed" him in front of many people.
f) His brother was an sperm cell of one of many donated by his father before he became sterile so they could have another child if they so choose to.
g) His brother was fighting in a war against him.
I can go on, you need to make it more specific.
Also, since most people will or have googled/wiki'd the lateral thinking problem, I'm kicking it up a notch.
You have 12 coins, they are identical in every way except for one, one single coin is slightly heavier OR lighter than the other eleven. You have a scale and are allowed to weight any amount of coins to a total of three times only. You must determine which coin is heavier OR lighter than the rest with only three weights. There is no trick to this, just simple math and logical processing.
If you've heard/done this one before, skip it and do the next one.
How many 0's are there in 100?(no, not 2) this is a math one
If you can't do the math or have seen both, then do this one
A Porsche costs $60,000. A Rolls Royce costs $96,000. A Mercedes costs $84,000. How much does a BMW cost.
Hints: Yes, there are two answers to this, the one is very broad the other is specific. The order of the cars, the order of the prices and the relation between cost and price of the car have no significance to the answer. If I say the next hint, you will get it too easy.

it's correct it's white, but it's not based on a complete guess. ’otherwise they are not much of wise men ’
that's how the wise man in front thought of it, he told him self:
the third didn't speak, because the two guys in front definitely don’t have black hats on, they either have black and white or both white.
he then came to think about why the second person didn't speak, and that's because (based on the third person situation) the second person saw that the one in front of him had a white hat, so he was stuck, and he couldn't tell if he had the black or white hat on. otherwise if the one in front had a black hat, the second would immediately say he have a white hat on.
and so the first person came to the conclusion (based on the above theory) that he had the white hat.
i hope the explanation is not confusing though.
