    Six Word Stories

I looked around and didn't see this done on here yet, I apologize if I missed it.

Hemmingway once said that his finest accomplishment was a six word story: "For sale: Baby shoes. Never worn." Here is an article in Wired about it.

Recently this challenge was given to more modern literary artists (see above link) And so I challenge each of you to create a six word story. No more or less than six words.

I offer you the following as my submission:

Slinky on Escher stairs, forever falling.
The organ is grinding but the monkey won't dance.

Life slips away. Between my fingers.
There's nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein.

Work with all your intelligence and love. Work freely and rollickingly as though they were talking to a friend who loves you. Mentally (at least three or four times a day) thumb your nose at all the know-it-alls, jeerers, critics, doubters." - Brenda Ueland
