Why?
Why do we write poetry and stories? Is it to give our lives some greater meaning? To get attention? To brag about our amazing talents, and to feed our ever growing egos? Is it to get laid? Is it because we are bored? Is it because we are the most talented people in the world and everybodies lives would be lost without us.
Yeah, it is all of those reasons and then some, and I think that is okay. I also think it is okay to just write for fun. When I was a freshman in college, and living with another girl in a dorm room we used to sit around making up little poems about the stupidest things. I remember I wrote a complete play once about a pickle that got squashed by a shoe. I remember those fun times more than any breathtaking story I have ever read. I also remember them with more fondness than I remember my old room mate that turned out to be a b.
So, in this post I am going to focus on fun goofy poetry. You don't have to participate and if I am the only one that ever posts that is okay, because I'll have fun. Just write a goofy poem about what inspires you. I'll start.
I know of a Mac Daddy,
I bet he'd like a hamburger patty.
But maybe he is a vegetarian,
but I don't think so.
Have fun, or don't, whatever, I'm indecisive, good night.

this girl is so fickle
she wrote a play about a pickle
but doesn't give a nickle
if your funny bone is tickled.
i write poetry to make up for the lost romance in my life, and that's a fact. that's the truth about every poem i've ever written. and yea, a fed ego is nice, but when you put your feelings out there for others to possibly ignore, you have to have some kind of defense or you will end up crying all night. so my defense is lost romance.
what's yours?

I just say, what the hay? Who cares if they like my writing or not, I like it, and that's pretty much all that matters.
I like to write

And tommorrow too

Yay for randomness!
Double trouble, but with bubbles
Rising from the oily puddles
I saw the milkman eat the Hubble
He had a lot of stubble.
(As you can see, poetry is not my forte )
