Thread: The Changey-Funky-Wordy Game

So, first person posts a word. The next person then has to create a new word from the previous one by altering it by a single letter. This can be changing a letter, adding a new letter or taking a letter away. For example, if we start with 'book':

pains

Get the idea? Pluralisation and de-pluralisation is permitted, if there are doubts as to whether something is a word then dictionary.com is the final authority (on the basis that everyone can get at it), words cannot be used more than once and the game is won when a person forms a word that no one else can make anything new out of. The winner then chooses the first word for the new game. Sound fun?
