Riddle.
Here's a riddle for you guys:
This is a true story that I can go around saying to people. I've noticed little kids have no problem getting it, but it stumps a lot of adults:
I have been to England, I have seen Germany with my own eyes. I have walked through London and I've seen the ruins in Italy. I have have seen all these places with my own eyes and walked through them with my own feet. But I have never left the United States.
How does it work?

England and Germany are cities?
I could also extend it to - I've walked through amsterdam and seen the statue of david in real life.

My first thought: Consulates of those countries. The ground would be considered 'home soil'

interesting guess, but nope.
And before anyone asks, no, it's not anything to do with embassies or busch gardens.
Ok hint time:
This sentence is a sort of hint;
"I've noticed little kids have no problem getting it, but it stumps a lot of adults."
I have no idea why, but if I say that after I've told the rest of the riddle, sometimes it dawns on people.
The next hint I give will be a dead give away.

oh, the reason adults don't get it is because they over think it

I thought it was maybe the Marines or Army, but the statue of david bit throws that out.

Ok, last hint. This is the giveaway.
"But I have never left the United States."
That's a very deliberately worded sentence.

You were in all those places and are now in Boston. Thus, you went to all those places before you entered the United States, and never left after that.
