    The Word Dissecting Game

    Hello,

I don't think anybody has ever thought of this before. Here's a little explanation: in my maths lesson, the teacher said that she went to a conference and someone there said the real meaning of politics.

'Poly' means 'many' (in maths term poly means many ie polygon)
    'Tics' means 'blood sucking bugs'

So therefore, politics means many blood-sucking bugs!

    please try!

    Bicycle

'Buy' means the same as 'purchase
'Sickle' is a type of blade used to cutting grass.

So 'bicycle' means 'purchase a grass-cutting blade'

    ALSO:
    Locomotion

'Low' means quiet or tranquil, in a sense.
'Commotion' is a hubbub, group of noises or tumult.

Therefore, locomotion means 'quiet hubbub', which doesn't make sense because hubbub or tumult can't be quiet, otherwise it isn't hubbub!

    Propaganda -

    'Proper' means real or correct
'Gander' is another word for a male goose

Therefore 'propaganda' means 'real male goose'. (so its obviously not a cross-dresser)

    Cellphone
Cell: the functional basic unit of life
    Phone: short for telephone.

So a cellphone is: a telephone that is the functional basic unit of life? I'm inclined to agree... ><

Conquest- 'conk' is slang for nose. 'west' is a direction. 'conquest' is a nose pointing towards Asia.
