    Name That Movie Quote

Okay guys, this game is pretty simple. Name the movie the above poster's quote is from, as well as the character who said it, then give a quote of your own. There's only one rule: NO GOOGLING. That will totally kill it. Okay maybe two rules. Let's keep the quotes relatively well known. In the case where a quote has gone unsolved for a long period of time, googling is acceptable. Kay, my go,

"There is a fell voice on the air."

    Easy peasy!

Movie - The Fellowship of the Ring

    Character - Legolas.

Great game by the way; simple and a lot of fun.

I was playing this with my brother IRL Bruno and we were having a blast, so I thought it'd be perfect for the forums. I think it can be fun to recreate the inflection of quotes using grammar, italics, etc.

Yours has got me stumped, Fox. I feel like I should know it but it's not coming to me.

    Sure,

Movie: The 40 Year Old Virgin
Character: Or in this case, characters ... Cal and David.

So mine isn't a MOVIE quote, but I found it hysterical.

"I heard that alcohol makes you stupid."
    "No I'm ... doesn't!"

Or, if you must have a movie quote.

"Your ass is gigantic and red. Who am I gonna' pretend you are, Liza Minnelli?"

Saddam Hussein from the South Park movie.

I'm going to amend the OP to encourage quotes that are relatively well-known. Should a really obscure quote come along I can see the game halting up.

"There's no reason we need to be shackled by the strictures of the employee-employer relationship. Unless of course you're into that sort of thing. In which case I got some shackles in the back. I'm just kiddin'. But seriously. I've got 'em."

So what rule covers the situation where a reader doesn't know the answer but wants to quote a quote of their own?

    Rules, schmules.

That is covered, I added a bit that says if it goes unsolved for a long time googling is alright. "Long time" I leave to people's discretion. If you don't recognize the quote before a "long time" has transpired, too bad so sad, someone who does may answer.

Australians! think they can apply Rafferty's rules, just because they don't have picture houses in the outback and think all films are made in Ealing.
No idea who said it though Caelum, to save them scrolling back,

And then THEY post THEIR quote. I don't like this game. I'm taking my bat and ball and going home.

Olly, it should be a full stop after Caelum (sic).

I hate the movie, but I think this is right:

    Movie: Dodgeball
    Character: No idea.

    ------------------------

"Garces is right. You'd do better to tell us everything. But to make sure it happens, I brought along a few tools. Just things you pick up along the way. At first I won't be able to trust you, but after I use this, you'll own up to a few things. When we get to these we'll have developed a... how can I put this? A closer bond, much like brothers. You'll see. And when we get to this one, I'll believe anything you tell me."

Movie - Pan's Labyrinth (perfect film)

    Character - Cpt. Vidal

I don't know why, but it's so much harder to remember quotes from movies with subtitles; this one took me a long time to get.

    -----------------------

“You know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in Paris?”
“They don't call it a quarter pounder with cheese?”
“No, they got the metric system, they wouldn't know what the fu** a quarter pounder is.”
    “What do they call it?”
“They call it a royale with cheese.”

Too, too easy. The two main guys off Pulp Fiction.

Sounds like Rutger Hauer in Bladerunner, though I preferred him in the Guinness adverts.

    "Enthusiasms. Enthusiasms. Enthusiasms."
The sand of the desert is sodden red, -
Red with the wreck of a square that broke; -
The Gatling's jammed and the colonel dead,
And the regiment blind with dust and smoke.
The river of death has brimmed his banks,
And England's far, and Honour a name,
But the voice of schoolboy rallies the ranks,
