    Word of the day.

I think I have come up with a good game we can all play. I do aplolgies if this is an old hat that I have simply rediscovered.

The first person posts a word. Next person uses that word in a story or short paragraph, and posts the next word to be used by the following person.

    I will get it started.

Gone are the days when knights would panegyrize maidens through word and deed. One can, however, find individuals who still practice such knightly behavior.

To Molly, Reginalds lack of hygiene and loud rambunctious behavior was a complete vexation. She was prone to sitting by the window smelling her rapidly growing roses, or sitting by the hearth and reading a heart warming rendition of some long forgotten tale. Reginald wouldn't be caught dead with a book in his hand, and he often forgot all about Molly's flowers and ended up finding the underfoot, earning himself a tongue lashing that would make any person shirk away.

The pain, the numbness and dis-orientation. Was it all worth it. Amy was much older now and the only consolation she had had when she was a child was that when she came out of the dentist she would received a treat of a lollipop. That was not something children could not look forward to these days as it was recognised that sweets would just damage teeth further. Amy was glad she wasn't a child these days but she was not glad she was going to the dentist.

Jim placed his trembling hand upon the top-most bar of the turnstile. Maria wrapped her arms around his waist from behind and whispered gently into his ear: "Calm down;I'm here. You won't have to do this alone." Her presence was a supreme comfort, more than she could ever know and his shaking soon ceased. "One last thing", he said, arching his head back so that his mouth brushed her cheek lightly and he could see her delicate eyelashes from the side, "We're in for the long-haul now. When we go through here, there can be no turning back. You understand that? I need you to know that no matter what happens, you have to keep going, at all costs." There was a pause as she appeared to be contemplating. Momentarily, she sighed, took a slow, deep breath and nodded to indicate she understood. "Good. I'm scared too, Maria, but we have to have faith that this will work out." "You always say that you're not a man of faith nor a man to take faith in the improbable", she retoted with a cheeky grin that brought back some of that fire in her spirit that he so adored. He couldn't help but be affected. "As you well know, I'm a man of faith when it suits my purpose", with that, he kissed her cheek and turned to face forward again. The two crossed the barrier into the uncertain.

The cold winds had no effect on Angelus as he stood beside his own body. His heart seemed more light, His mind clear of the hatred that engulfed him before. The after effect of the explosion had made a massive dent in the ground beneath him, and his body thankfully took most of the force away. Jasmine laid A good distance away from him, coughing to get the dust out of her lungs. He smiled in knowing the fact that she was OK, and to him that was all that mattered... Angelus began to walk to her, but a few steps into it, he felt a force being put on him that held him back. As he turned around, The landscape was replaced with an enormous, seemingly infinite set of stairs surrounded by plush clouds and a beautiful blue sky. A beautiful figure formed from the clouds, and with a beautiful voice that caused tears to form in his eyes, she spoke.. "It's time to come home, son"

David and Michael had both come to the realization, though not at the same time, that no matter how far into the stratosphere of their industry they soared, no matter how high in esteem their peers held them, and no matter how fervently their clients worshipped them, they would never be truly fulfilled in life. As highly educated and intelligent as they were, by the time they came to this realization, they were both already on an irreversible downward spiral that, because both of them were experiencing varying degrees of it, fed off itself as if it only belonged to one man. This created a ceaseless melancholy that each, at one time or another, tried to defeat valiantly on a day to day basis, but were unknowingly powerless against it. This was the beginning of the end for David and Michael.

They fed of each others twisted desires, a symbiosis of dark thought; only together could they survive!
