I acknowledge but do not like the word mangetout, as used by Olly in his gardening corner. It's another example of Brits being under the Norman yoke and speaking frog half the time. I can't even pronounce it. What's wrong with calling them snow peas fer chrissake?

I'm sure you would like to think so. But that isn't the case. The yoke's on you.

Heh. I love the word "cerulean." But I used it in a poem once and caught a lot of crap for it. Apparently, it's a favorite of bad poets. Not sure what that says about me.

I can love my fellow man, but I'm damned if I'll love yours.
