Exclamation microsoft works word processor help

this is the document thing I use to write. It's free and I have no complaints about it except one:

HEADINGS.

Now, when you label a chapter title like 'Heading 1', you should be able to create a link that takes you to this title (clicked from the top of the document) and therefore whichever part of the novel you wanna go to.

But I don't know how! I could do this at college with microsoft word 2007 (which is more advanced) but I don't know how to do it with this software! Is it even posible? Does anyone even have this package?

I've asked on google and such LOADS of times, but it's either on about a different package, gives me instructions that don't seem to comply with mine in particular or just give me nothing at all.

Help meh, someone! I'm a computer 'tard so I will need very simple, basic, patronising instructions. It would be DEAD helpful. And if anyone can help me, I will treat you to a haughty sniff.

Works is very complicated and weird and I'm not a fan of it-I don't know that it is possible to do what you want to. You might like this program instead-it's called Quickplot and I've been using it for years:Download | The Unknown Screenwriter
If you lack word-type doc processors, try this:
www: OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite
Hope that helps. You can keep the haughty sniff

And good luck to you...

My suggestion here, lose Works which is a notoriously lousy program even for microsoft and if you can't get somebody to give you a disk of Word download the free Open Office suite and use their writing program. It's a really good WP program
