Question Writing for pay sites...

Does anyone have any experience with these sites asking for content from you that they will publish and give you say 50% of any earnings if the content generates interest...etc, etc?

I have heard that the "Helium" site is a bust, what about "Triond" site...or any other similiar site????

Thanks, John

48 views and no comment...I guess no one has any experience with these type of sites...Can anyone refer me to an experienced source...I suspect these sites are probably rip-offs or too much work for very little return...John

I do agree that most of these sites are ripoffs so yeah.

If you are writing for fun/showoff/sharing, a writing site as such will be enough. If you are writing for an earning, the best I can suggest is your local publishers. Contact them and send them a sample of your writing. Hopefully the editor agrees to your request. Doing so involves a risk of money as an investment is required for publishing. Some publishers also do online versions so you can try to ask them what services they offer. Remember to only deal with publisher that you have heard of.

Bottomline: Never trust your work to any unreliable publishing sites that might lure you in for cheap gains. They will be the ones making money with your work, not you.

That's about it. Write 8 hours a day, 6 days a week and you still won't make anything like reasonable money. They're happy to offer a share of profit because, generally, there's no profit.
