Script for a PC game cutscene

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but if it's not, could some please tell me where the right place is.

I'm trying to develop a PC game, and not being a person who can code/script I doing everything else so that the people who can, hopefully build my game.

I've got concept art for the ships, as it is a naval combat game in space, and right now I'm starting to work on the actual story line. If you're familiar with the Anabasis by Xenephon, it's the same type of story.

Anyway, to my point, is there a different format for a script for a cutscene, if it is a script. Are there any differences in how it is laid out, are the notations of music, scene, or anything else different?

Thanks a head.
