Eight pages of posts. Did it not occur to just one of you to pm a mod and ask for a sticky outlining that all thread starters are required to note at both the beginning and end of their post EXACTLY what it is they seek?

I was being extreme when I said that spelling and grammar Nazis should just be editors. I was attempting to get people angry which I did. Just reading all this stuff makes me want to garb a bucket of popcorn. It so funny how everyone argues amongst themselves even though they agree with each other on the most part.

I haven't even posted any of my work on here so how would you know if my writing sucks?

Also there is only one mi is happy on this forum so you can only piss off one. To bad it's imposible to do that. I know, I'm a smart alack.

(I was bored out of my mind and I had to find something to do to since no one was on at the time.) Looks like I accomplished my goal. Actually, I over killed it. 8 pages? That's a lot over this silly topic.
It kinda turned into a full out brawl against me with false assumptions. "mi doesn't like people correcting her grammar and spelling." I'm so surprised actually that I got bashed soo much even though I only posted 3/4 times.

People on internet forums will often do anything to get their yayas out in public. A thread on dung beetles could have served the same purpose. But it wouldn't have fit in "Tips and Advice".

All you people writing in first person, stop it. It is easy and not very creative and unless you are writing noir it is also very boring.

That aside, I'm more of a spelling fascist as my grammar can be terrible at times.

I don't mind you slipping slang in as long as the slang is part of a character speaking. The slang must be universally or near universally recognised.

"I'll be there later," she said in a Yat accent.

Now unless you explain elsewhere in your writing that Yat is a dialect particular to the New Orleans, USA. Nobody is going to have a clue what the hell you are talking about.
