Bah

My $0.02

I visited this thread on a recommendation, looking for something totally unconnected with the OP. Even though the subject didn’t particularly interest me I had to read through the thread looking for my “something”. And here’s what I think of what you’ve said:

Nb it comes with a qualifier.

In the greater scheme of things, most of you (Sam’s one exception) seem to have been posting purely to be noticed by your peers.

In the greater scheme of things, what you have all written is a crock of shit.

Rules-schmules.

In the greater scheme of things, in the final analysis, the only thing that matters is whether or not the publisher you have chosen will accept or reject your MS.

I'm crushed ...

especially to learn that I'm surrounded by a bunch of peers ...

Christine Keeler said it first.

You both need to stop addressing each other personally. You've repeated yourselves ad nauseam anyway. You don't like each other, we get it. Now let's get back to discussing writing and possibly leave your dislikes out of it.

Well, I'm glad you left his post up.

Look what this punk is saying there.

"I can dis you and be a little jerk, but if you reply I'll run squawling to the moderators about it."

This is from his "Classification of Internet Asshole" on his blog: (if I may be permitted to quote)
Quote:
Type XI : Victim
Assault the victim at your own risk. He takes everything personally, and he’s probably friends with the admins.
He's running provocations at this point and I don't like seeing it work out for him.

If he's going to squawk and whimper and give smug little orders about "you have to post nice to me" he should just stay the hell out of the way.

However...I do think it's nice to leave this up so people can take his measure.

Okay, Lin, you had your say. Enough, both of you.
