Thanks, SevenWritez, actually it does mean a lot coming from anyone. Readers are readers; you don't need special qualifications to have a valid opinion.

That means a lot to me too, TT. I've never yet known your advice or opinions to be correct, or even credible, so that, from you, is the finest endorsement I could wish for. Many thanks.

You probably wouldn't. None of the published stuff is fiction, or at least, not in the sense that you'd sit down and read for pleasure. They're materials and supplements for games and they tend to sell to a fairly specialist group of purchasers.
At the moment I'm mildly screwed by the fact that my publisher, Mr Gary Gygax, died suddenly a couple of days ago. His company Trigee is under contract to publish two of my books and I have the proofs on my shelves, but I'm unsure whether they were sent to the printers'. I suspect probably not.
The other person running the company is Gary's wife, and I haven't contacted her about it because I think she's probably got quite enough to worry about right now. I'll speak to her at a more tactful time.
So that leaves my back-catalogue available to buy, which you could get hold of through certain specialist game shops or by direct purchase over the internet. Out of respect for the site's advertising rules, I won't post links here, but you're very welcome to PM me if you'd like them.
Alternatively, you can read quite a few thousand words of my unpublished fiction in the Writer's Workshop (use the search feature).

Truth-Teller: Please don't say I'm an ass-kisser when it's obvious you have homoerotic fantasies of putting Stephen King's cock in your moutth. I liked the stories, Jesus.
Mike: No problem. But if your "publishing history," is true then I'm guessing not all of your stories on your site (or I'm just an idiot, either or)? How could I see the others not listed? I like your shorts, they're fun and quick (except, for me, the butterfly one with the naked chick and...yeah, that's as far as I got. Didn't dig that one too much. Loved "Time Travel," though, along with Dancer, or whatever the title of that one was).
Non: I thought you were more along the lines of hardcore fiction. I'm not into gaming books, so I'll pass on that. Thanks, though.

I've been looking at some of the statistics being flailed around this thread about numbers of novels in the works at any one time, and there's still one I want to know.
Anyone know what percentage of books submitted for publication are successful?

I'm going to crunch some numbers, punch some buttons, and nibble on some pencil ends as I sort this one out. If my guesstimations are anything to go by, I'd say 0.5%.

Of course you realise that 74.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot. ( I particularly like the .3)

I remember one that went something like "75% of Americans believe that two-thirds of Americans can't quote statistics".

I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying it looks wrong. Most of us infer the plural when we use this word. Most of us.

There are several possibilities there, Ox. One of them is that I inadvertently misplaced an apostrophe.

“Once I lost a preposition.
It hid, I thought, beneath my chair.
And angrily, I cried, "Perdition!
Up from out of in under there!"
Correctness is my vade mecum,
And dangling phrases I abhor.
But still I wonder, what should he come
Up from out of in under for?”
~ The New Yorker, 1947
