Define "publisher." Are you looking to have someone pay you for your work, or are you looking to have your work printed and pay for it yourself?

Vantage is a ripoff, no matter what age you are.
Lulu.com is sort of the default if you are planing on paying to publish your book. Look around carefully before making a committment.

But I think you might be going about this backwards. If you are just shopping for somebody to publish for pay, fine. If not, you should first familiarize yourself with the market and do some submission, get a feel for what it's like and what's out there.

Find work similar to what you are doing and see who published it, maybe even find the agent. Look around for small POD presses that handle your kind of stuff.
