After school, that is if I would not have dropped out along time ago, I have a tendency to fill up my hookah with some mineral water; pack the bowl with some dank shit that I personally grow. Me and some close friends have a good time. I then get to that point where your so high you just gotta write. So I write write write.

I love it when people ask serious questions and folks respond all over the map. There simply is no way to typecast all writers, is there?

Truth be told, I don't have rituals, but preferences that I try to adhere to whenever possible. I prefer to write in the mornings, in a quiet place with few distractions. I prefer black ink pens, with a point just fine enough to not be in danger of breaking, and white ruled paper.

However, if it came right down to it, I could write with a pencil in the margins of an old newspaper on a subway train next to a guy with a loud iPod. Ultimately the writing finds its way out, like sweat.

I drive to work and arrive by 7AM, pick up some files to start with, open my word doc to whatever story in progress (checking over my shoulder a few times), and alt tab all day until it's time for me to go home again.

Don't tell my boss

I have to write on my laptop - I don't know why but a PC just doesn't do it for me. Ironically though, pen and paper is fine if I have got a laptop with me. I can't write at work (worrying about getting caught puts me off) and I tend to have music on, though not always and it doesn't really matter what it is as by the time I'm in full flow I'm not hearing it anyway.

strangedaze is an unknown quantity at this point
First thing in the morning, I heads to the computer to churn out my daily minimum, preferably with tea. Then I do some tae bo, shower, do whatever. By doing things first thing, I can spend the rest of the daily pressure-free. Most of the time I get back on the saddle and write a bit more.
