Only vaguely aware of what sex is about except as a category to delineate feminism, which is GOOD because he read a book that said so.

Hodge is an expert on sex. He googled it. That's why he's not here; he's an expert on masturbation also.

i think thats a bit harsh personally. hodge is i think of an age where black is black and white is white and there arent any shades of grey, thats all, and he uses knowlege instead of experience. you shouldnt pick on ppl just for being younger.
and so on to sex. the most erogenous zone is between your ears so to write a good sex scene you got to put the person reading inside your head so your not just describing physical acts but making them feel them. thats what i do and it seems to work.

Actually it's for being younger and inexperienced and not fessin' up to it... but you're right. He just gets up a person's nose and I shouldn't slap him down. I blame the Ox for dragging him into this.

well, you say you're straight, so . . . I guess that knowing your name will make the opposite sex worry that they won't live up to your romantic ideal of fishy feminine perfection.
Let me exercise my talent for stating the obvious, and say this on the subject at hand: there are two concerns: first and foremost, what works best within the story as a whole (are your descriptions vividly lush with sensuality, whether you are describing food or clothing or the sunset or music or a dead rat in the street, or are you more realistic and photographic, or are you sparing your reader); and secondarily, what is appropriate for your readers?
I like to write explicit sex. I think I write it well. But you all will never know. Its certainly not my main writing subject.

The deepest, imbalanced male in you wants to fuck and go back to your hut, but the deepest, imbalanced female in you wants to keen and touch for three days and nights.

Do all women really want to arse about with tender silliness for three nights and days? Much prefer the idea of the fucking and going to the hut scenario. Though I could do that for a day and a half.
