I almost always have a pen and paper handy, but as a last resort, I call my home phone and leave a message on the answering machine (simpler than texting).

I find that I get too many ideas though so I run them past my Muse (kind of a Sean Connery-type) and my Critic (Clint Eastwood??) and check to see if it's worth even remembering.

Mmm. "Rowdy Yates" needs a far higher public profile than simply acting and directing and one-time mayor.

Clint Eastwood was a mayor? Never knew...then again, I don't really like talking with my Critic.

Although Eastwood has been registered as a Republican since 1951, and supported Richard Nixon's 1968 presidential campaign, he describes himself as a libertarian, saying his philosophy is "Everyone leaves everyone else alone".[13] He voted for Arnold Schwarzenegger as Governor of California in 2003 and 2006.
Eastwood jokingly threatened to kill Michael Moore at the National Board of Review awards dinner in January 2005. Eastwood was quoted as saying "Michael Moore and I actually have a lot in common, we both appreciate living in a country where there's free expression... but, Michael, if you ever show up at my front door with a camera - I'll kill you." This was presumably in reference to Moore's controversial interview with Eastwood's friend Charlton Heston in the movie Bowling for Columbine.
