Hard to find time to write

Guitar, SAT stuff, school, homework, tests, friends, weightlifting, soccer, swimming, basketball, girlfriend, vacations, chores, and then my small segment of time to myself....

Hard to find time! How do you guys find time to write? (I usually seem to just write whenever I feel like it...which isn't steady but works just as well. Still, I wanna' be able to have a more structured type of work.)

you have time to write... "my small segment of time to myself."

It might not be much, but there it is.

I have a very strict regimen that I follow. It's the only way that I can find time enough to do everything. It also includes unplugging my modem for a time each day. Can't use the internet as a distraction if I can't access it.

I try to get in an hour a day at least so I feel like I've made some progress, but if I don't well, that's life. My son takes up a lot of my time so I try to jot it down on paper if I can't get to the computer. Like I said, every little bit helps and is progress.

Well why are you wasting your time posting this thread? Shouldn't you be using that time to write?

MEShammas, only one thing you can do. Stop sleeping. You'll die within the year, but you'll put out some genius prose in the process.

You need that time to study for ACTs, PSATs, and any AP exams you might need to take. It may seem like a big sacrifice now, but it will give you much more in return.

Agreed; it's *far* better than TV, but you can waste just as much time surfing the net as you can surfing the tube.

I pretty much carry a notebook around with me that will fit into my purse, then whenever i get a free moment, i write.

i used to carry a spiral notebook with me back in HS and would write there anytime i had the chance too. Now in college i use a binder for the majority of my classes so i have the back part sectioned off for my writing. Works well.

I put off homework to write... Now I think of it, I put off pretty much everything to write.
