Do you mean, perhaps, lamé?

I don't
know how the Spanish/English thing got going, but spanish accents are exactly that...indicating syllables that are accented when they are not in the usual accent position of second syllable from the last.

Yeah, the pronunciations of winged, as in winged victory exist, but are not common usage.

Don't DO this.

I've read a fantasy book that used the accent mark over winged, and it actually worked in the world the author had created. So there are exceptions.

I have a degree in English and didn't know jack about grammar until I studied Spanish.

I can imagine the accent marks being very useful with poems, especially older poems or ones in an older style like Blake - but I can't imagine there being any reason in prose for an extra beat to a word. . .

I have to agree with everyone else, best not to use it, it'll just jar your work and probably confuse the reader as to why it's in there, unless there's a good reason.
