I can't get to the end.
Every time, I run into action, and something that was supposed to take all chapter, took only a few paragrphs about ten lines each. This has happened to me in almost every occurence. Any advice???

Maybe action isn't your thing. Write a romance.

Well, action by its very nature is fast paced...I don't know how you would expect a single piece of action to last an entire chapter (in my mind that would make for some tedious reading).
Without an example, however, it's hard to know what you're doing wrong. Any link to something you've posted where this is a problem?

storm eagle...
chapters can be any length, y'know... don't have to be pages and pages and pages long... if you really have a problem with all of your writing, send me a couple of samples and i'll see if i can suggest some way to overcome it...
love and hugs, maia

The lead-up to action, and it´s aftermath would normally take longer than the action itself, but, in certain genres that could be reversed (in war stories).

Just focus. Sometimes it's better to write the piece and then go back to make any additions and improvements.

If you wanted, you could have many, many, unlimited chapters in your novel, with only a couple of paragraphs per chapter. Provided it made sense and still flowed properly, there's no reason why you can't write in this format.

Be easy for english lessons where you have to read a chapter for homework. Wish I could have had stuff like that in my lessons.
