stories and other work, yes... novels, no... not that i know of, anyway... when i dropped out of the material world, i left all my old life's work with my agent, who was on the verge of selling a novel and screenplay and had other books hanging fire... so, i've no clue whether any of them were published or not...
but that's not germane to the issue... you just seem to be trying to justify your unjustified scorn and dismissal of my advice... if that's what you need to do to feel better, be my guest...

I'm just skeptical as to why you aren't a published author as of now... novelist, I should say, since that's probably the biggest accomplishment one can achieve as a writer. I'm conscious of your knowledge, I don't deny it, but at your age, Maļa, you should be published. I would expect it from you. I mean, wouldn't it make sense if a woman paid $150/hr for her writing abilities and knowledge had a book out after all these years? Maybe you should consider writing one.
The advice I gave previously was also a bit brashly said, and probably not true, though what I said was based in logical thinking at the very least. I apologize for not thinking enough before speaking. However, I still believe that if one is going to write "creatively" and in a way that may potentially confuse readers, they should do it with a complete knowledge of the fact and the idea.

you seem to have missed what i wrote about my 'old' life's work... since i left that life and that 'old me' behind, i no longer do anything for money... and since having books published involves getting paid for them..........
fyi, if you really have to know, you can find out why i don't, by browsing my site... the following essays, in particular:
why your money's no good
alms for the rich
triage
what am i?

How about writing a novel, getting paid for it, and then giving the money to charity? It's incredibly selfless, incredibly respectable, and it seems like it'd work for what you want in life.
Also, if you don't do anything for money, how do you make a living? Do you presently have sufficient funds to last for a few more decades if needed? Maybe . . . I mean, 150 an hour is pretty impressive.
By the way, if I sound sarcastic, I promise that I'm actually not . . . I'm just asking questions. :]

no, it wouldn't, actually... i took a vow to never do anything for money... and i don't 'want' anything in life... i merely do whatever i can to help with what/whoever is dropped in my lap... gave up 'self' over a dozen years ago, so have no wants or goals or needs... it's a state akin to 'nirvana' more than anything...

...i don't... feverything i need just seems to land in my lap unbidden, when i need it... i call it my 'manna drops'... for 5 years i got along without any income whatsoever and only started taking soc. sec. a few years ago, so i can afford to go to folks who need me and can't afford to 'import' me and provide my food...
...i was house and pet-sitting all over the world, for the last several years, which kept a roof over my head, and only just 'retired' from that last year, when i felt i was getting too old to keep schlepping around the globe... am now living permanently on this tiny us protectorate, where i don't have to deal with visas and resident permits and can live out my last days/months/years... hopefully, not that many!...

...my ss income is enough to provide what little i need for myself and what i need to keep helping others... such as internet access, ink and paper...

...yeah, it was nice... but i get a lot more pleasure and satisfaction out of doing the very same stuff for free now... 'specially since i'm doing it for folks who couldn't have afforded me back then...
