Post The Difference of Publishing/and well..Publishing

I've been wondering about this for some time now. Publishing companies can reject your book. They could reject it on the genre or because they don't like the story. Right? Are there ones that publish your story, without rejecting it because of its genre?
What do you do when you want to publish your story?o_O

Huh? They mostly reject books because they're not good enough. If you send your book to a publisher that doesn't publish your genre, then you haven't done your homework. Research publishers - find out what they publish - then submit in the proper way.

Have you never picked up an issue of Writers Digest, or read a book bout writing. When you want to publish your story you submit it to the proper markets.

This is one of the basics. Go to the bookstore and browse through 2007 Writers Market or 2007 Novel and Short Story Writers Market they not only tell you what to do to get your story published, but also give you a lists of publishers and magazines that publish your type of story.

...or because you don't write well enough...

...only those you pay to publish your work... they're called 'vanity publishers' and include self-publishing; subsidy publishing; POD [print on demand] publishers...

if it's a 'story' and not a 'book/novel' you send it to magazines that publish your kind of story...

if it's a book/novel, you send query letters to agents and publishers who accept them from new writers... if you need more info, you can email me, if you can't find it on your own...

what country are you in and what is your birth language?... are you wanting to get published in the us?... or in the uk/commonwealth?.... or elswhere?

love and hugs, maia
