apostrophe use

I'm not sure that this is where this post belongs... so if I'm in the wrong please feel free to redirect me.

I know that as a writer I should be comfortable with the rules of apostrophe use... but unfortunately, I am not. So could someone post the rules up here for singular possessive, plural possesive and all that junk that I should've paid attention to in english class?

Thanks!
