Exclamation Seems I'd forgotten...

..what it was like to write for the beauty of it. My last few pieces have been all business; I want to get some published ASAP. I've been working so hard on the calibre of my writing that I guess I've forgotten about the finesse.

I realized this while reading "Raven" by Akroma (here), and I was taken with her refreshing talent for wordsmithing. Seeing as I'm plugging her work, I'll allow for a disclaimer: the characters and emotions are slightly sappy. But her prose made me realize that I used to write like that, string some words together because they just sounded so good. I want to go back to that.

Anyways, didn't know where to put this and felt like I needed to confess. Cheers.

Rob is an unknown quantity at this point
Your first paragraph sounds familiar. Last year I was so focussed on subbing stuff out, it became a chore. Soon as I let that go, the enjoyment cranked up a notch and the writing was better for it.

Enjoy.

Cheers,
Omni
