Need Advice: Capitalization

Hello,

I am writing a cover letter which contains the following sentence:
Quote:
I helped students design, code, test, and debug various Java programming projects as a computer science tutor.
Should I capitalize any of the bolded words in the above sentence?

Thank you for your time and efforts in answering this question. I am often plagued by simple things like this in my daily writing.

Sincerely,

Matt

Computer Science tutor.

Computer Science is the name of the course/specialism. Tutor is what you do.

Hello,

Thank you for the suggestions.

Are the capitalizations in the following correct?

Quote:
I am Computer Science student interested in pursing the Software Developer internship.

Thanks again,

Matt

This is probably a case of po-tay-to po-tah-to. I just so happen to be going back to school for CS and I looked in the school literature to see how they did it. The refer to it as computer science, lower case. I would probably capitalize Software Developer Internship, however, as it is a position title.

from a virgo pov, unless the things referred to are official course names or position titles, they should not be capitalized... thus, the example provided in the op was correct...

matt's second example would be correct if those are official titles... since both are not, we's take is the right one, imo, if the internship thing is an actual position being offered and not just referencing a generic occupation... what marks the difference is the use of 'the' instead of 'a'... if he'd written 'a software development internship' there would be no call for capitals...
