Actually...no. A friend of mine has the original Rogue Trader Rule Book. Alien was released in 1979, Rouge Trader in 1987.

Omg. I came up with this BRILLIANT story idea. I was soooo excited about for so long. I finally told my brother about it and he just looked at me and said 'have you seen ......?' (says a movie name which I forgot)...I had never heard of it...he replies 'Well, you just described the entire plot.'
I cried. I actually cried. Tears and all.
