Question about my character!

My lead character, Samantha, is a doctor at the local hospital. I've finished a first draft of a chapter where it is lunch time, and she has her lunch hour outside of the hospital grounds. I basically want to know if doctor's who work in hospitals are allowed to do this? If not, I'd need to know now so I can make changes.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

doctors who work for hospitals aren't slaves, so they can go wherever they want, in their free time... but... if they don't have all that much time, the hospital cafeteria is quicker than going outside...

that said, 'work in' is too vague to deal with specifically, in answering your question... is this doctor an intern?... a resident?... or a local doctor who just uses the hospital for her patients who need hospitalization for some reason?

blademasterzzz is an unknown quantity at this point
Dunno about that, but in medical research, people get a lunch break where they can do what they want, they usually have a meal in the cafeteria.
