Poetry advice needed - Writers Forum

In my creative writing course, we are moving onto the poetry module. The only poetry I have read was when I was at school, and I don't recall writing any myself at that time. Since school, I haven't done anything with poetry, and I have been advised by my tutor to find a couple of poems that have been published within the last 10 years. They need to have been written by well-known poets if possible.

If anybody could help, I would be most grateful.

google for the work of maya angelou... her work is superb and very topical... if you need any help, let me know, as i'm a full-time poet and mentor many beginning ones...
