Well, you could have some friends read your work and give advice on which potential title is most suitable.

Also, one of my creative writing professors had this trick of taking a printed out sheet of her story and letting her pen land on a random spot, and seeing if the word/phrase she landed on could be a good title. Kooky, but it may work.

maybe you should write the thing first - give it a working title which will be enough to remind you what you're writing about and then when it's done you can change it..

i just think it's not a great idea to concentrate so much on the title that you don't even write...

If it's a fantasy, do what other fantasy writers do: use thname of world, or item that needs to be destryed or soething; or you can just put the main character down.

Kyle Bagley is on a distinguished road
You could go Sandra Cisneros and name the title after a phrase or word that is in the story. (it should be important to the plot, though)

Well, the title should be the thing about the story that is remarkable.
What you think about when you read the story?
For me, when you read the title, the story must come to your mind immediatly, or at least, the main idea.
Hope I helped.

regards
