Writing an outline

Hello,
I am wondering how specific one needs to be when writing an outline? For my novel, I just list the main events in every chapter. Is this enough?

Sincerely,
Jess

Talia_Brie is an unknown quantity at this point
Everyone does it differently. If you think that outline will keep you on track, then that's the way to do it.

You need to think about why people use outlines, and why you want to use one. If you can get what you want out of yours, away you go.

Agree. It is really just a roadmap to ensure your story is going somewhere. I also do character sheets, with pictures, to complete my planning. You will need to do a little trial and error, but that is half the fun.
Go get 'em...
