I've been working on my first novel since March. I say I'm about halfway through it now. I think it's coming together well, but this is only the first draft.

One finished and ready to send off. One in editing stage (almost complete after the marathon editing and rearranging session this weekend), and a third waiting in the wings. I have a vague idea for a fourth, but we'll see if it sprouts.

Whew. Thanks. I needed that. But it is tough to type when I'm handcuffed.
Ok, I'm focused. Let's see where it leads me.

Yeah, I'm working on a trilogy. It was going to be a five-part, but I condensed it. It's actually being planned chapter-by-chapter. I'm starting the planning of the third book now.
I also have other big projects, including The Seventh Messiah and the Legends of Evega. They're planned to be novel-ish stories, but they're for the internet and won't be published.

I'm working on one... well, maybe. I'm kind of stuck... for some reason I let my protagonist be lead into the temple district at night by a evil priest, but I don't even know why - so I've stopped writing it for now, it's turning out weird. Maybe one day I'll finish it, more likely though I'll just reuse the characters for a different story.

I am in the process of thinking about writing one. It's sort of experimental for me. It's either going to be a diary type or told like the character is talking to someone about their life. Anyway give me your thoughts on it.

Novice, that sounds interesting. I would like to read it when you start it, since I like most of what you write.
I have a trilogy planned and have been working on the first book, Keepers of the Dark, which has portions posted quite a few pages back on the Critique & Advice forum. I put it on hold to work on one for NaNoWriMo and am now in the process of finishing it since I have so much of it written.

No!
....It's just a really long story with a beginning, middle, and end, and lots of exciting stuff to fill in everywhere else...

See if you can get hold of Delores Claiborne by Stephen King. The content isn't quite as dark as his other stuff, but more to the point the entire novel is Delores making a police statement. King maintains the character's voice through the entire book, (450 odd pages). It would have been quite a task I think, and reading it might give you some idea of how it can be done.

The only thing similar to a novel that I've written is a screenplay. It turned out pretty good, but I think it's best to master the short story form first. Then move onto bigger things.
