Do you post your moderate work?

I was wondering if people were post work they don't like on this forum. I know I try to limit myself to my better poetry, but it gets hard to find enough variety. Do you only post stories and poetry that you're proud of, or do you suck up your pride and post your less impressive work?

Suck it way in, and post them up. This is a place to improve your writing, not just to show everyone your polished pride.

I prefer to give people what I personally like of my writing, despite it being good or bad.

That's exactly what the "File 13" section of the forum is for. If it's stuff you're not really happy with, but would still like feedback on, post it there. Sometimes we can learn more from our not-quite-so-good work as we can from our best.

In which case I would post anything and everything in File 13.
Seriously, I understand what FIle 13 is for. But sometimes there are posts in there that are way better than initially esteemed vice versa, referring to the other forums. Who is the final judge of what is best is debatable and fair game.

SO as Farror said earlier, "suck it up" and post 'em all!

Sure. Posting the occasional bomb makes your good stuff look better than it actually is.

Everything that I'm happy with I post up onto the writing forums. For me when I become to close to the story I cant see the mistakes within it, a little like not being able to see the forest for the trees. It's then essential to get some honest critism of the piece from someone other than freinds and family.
So my golden rule is if you're happy with it then post it.
