Ever notice?
Is it just me or at times do you use the forums as an excuse not to write? Each day I set aside two hours for writing. Since I have found the writing forums I find I spend fifteen minutes writing, fifteen minutes browsing the boards...and it continues until 2 hours have flown by.
Alright, alright, that's it! I am going to allow 3 hours for browsing the boards a day and one hour for writing.

I usually write a few minutes, check forums or something, write a few minutes....I never just site down and write, because it feels too forced that way---unless I want to. I try to stop and do something to get my brain working (well).
I DO spend to much time on these forums though. Its the first thing I check when I get home from school. I should set a limit on my forum time, too.

I've been spending more time reading in these forums.
However I find that it reminds me that I'm trying to write I can't keep dodging it when I see so many people with that interest in mind, it reminds me what I'm supposed to be doing...

Browsing these forums usualy give my the push in the back to start writing again. How often have I been browsing here just to write on the story for an hour afterwards

I find the same, that although I'm browsing the forum more than writing, it does remind me that I should be writing. It makes me push myself to not give up on my story even though I'm encountering some problems.

I love browsing here. I make myself write everyday, not anything specific, just practicing. But I do find myself reading posts alot more than writing. Its fun though, and I dont put pressure on my writing.
On the other hand though, I have other obligations that I have to put more time into than I do commonly. So dont fret spending time here, youre at least staying on topic, just not productive.

Oh yeah. Well, actually, it's more like I visit forums during times when I'm not inspired. And for me, if I'm not inspired I can't force myself to write, so why bother. It always comes back eventually.
For example, I visit forums a lot in the summer. Kids home from school, other things going on. There are just too many distractions. Come Sept, I probably won't visit much at all.
